See, told you i’d be back again! Now just promise to hold me accountable!
Back in the fall, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Annika and Greg. Annika seriously rocks!
She is a hair stylist here in Greenville and probably one of the coolest I know. She is originally from Sweden, so she has recently schooled me on the proper pronunciation of ”Ikea”! Oh, and she had me try fish in a tube a few months back! Yup, you read right! Think of a tube of toothpaste…. minus the toothpaste, add the fish. Wah-lah! Fish in a tube. I know I tried the Salmon and the Tuna, but if I remember correctly she had 3 or 4 different tubes. Who knows what else she snuck in on me. Anyways, it was de-lish!
I was so excited when she asked me to do a session with her and her man, Greg! He absolutely adores her so it made my job so easy!
Some of you may recognize Annika from another shoot I did with her.
I’m sure you will be seeing much more of her in the future!

My eyes are officially sandpaper-ish and my oh-so-comfy bed is calling my name! Goodnight!

Ok, so I have been more than slack. Life got crazy this past winter and I neglected my blog, for 11 months!!! What got into me?!?! Anyways, I’M BACK! I have so much inspiration and fun ideas for sessions! I look forward to my upcoming shoots this summer and seeing my future clients on the blog! Let’s play a bit of catch-up for now!
Edit to add: My search is on for Greenville County Senior Representatives, Class of 2011 can go HERE to apply! (Jes Park Photography Senior rep’s are treated like royalty around here
)
Here are a few shots from Brianna’s Sweet 16 (almost a year later). I have Brianna on my facebook and have been asked how I edited her eyes. I didn’t! Are you kidding me with those GORGEOUS blue’s?!?!

Next up: Annika & Greg!

This post is so ridiculously long overdue! I mean, really long….let’s just say almost 2 months! Sorry guys!
Joe and Kim are some of our closest friends. We met them when I was about 6 months pregnant with Oliver. Joe and Chad immediately hit it off, and of course so did Kim and I. At the time, their youngest girl, Laney, was only 5 months old. So, of course, I flooded Kim with questions as it was getting closer for me to have Oliver, with anything from labor to breastfeeding (don’t worry, i’m not going into details) she was just an abundance of baby knowledge! I guess you become that when you have 4 kids within 5 years!!! Yup, she definately has it together! Oh yeah, Joe you aren’t too bad yourself
You may see Jack a bit more….thats just what happens when you are the baby, the only boy, and Oliver’s best friend!
So let’s get started!

Love you guys!

Happy 1st Birthday Lucy! We love you and your big boxer head so much! Thank you for being so sweet and gentle with our Oliver, even though you definately know how to “rough house” you usually control yourself around him. We look forward to watching you grow up with Oliver for many years to come! Oliver couldn’t ask for a better best friend!

See, told you i’d be back!
Last Friday I was able to have some fun hanging out with Mark and Stephanie! What an AWESOME couple they are! So laid back and down to earth, pretty much let me lead the way!
I know them through Mark’s mom, Anne, who is my trainer at the gym (for those of you who follow my twitter or facebook, yes this is the same Anne.). I must say, I was completely SHOCKED when I heard that Anne was going to trust me hanging out with her son and his girlfriend for a few hours. To those of you that know me, I can be quite the Drama Queen at times (not often, but hey, it happens) and Anne definately sees that side of me at the gym. Lucky for me she puts up with it, although sometimes I end up paying for it.
Annnnyways! Mark and Stephanie are such a loving couple. They met in class their freshman year of college at Bluefield State in West Virginia. Mark is from Greenville, and Stephanie is from Bluefield. So, of course, it just makes sense that Stephanie would show Mark around the area. They are so sweet and gentle with each other. The way that they look at each other is definately LOVE. I adore being able to see how someone feels about the other person by the look in their eyes. Does that make sense? If not, then you need to meet this couple and maybe you’ll understand!
P.S. I’ve had some guest ask about the reason for Taco Bell, that is where they consider their first date to be, after Stephanie showed Mark around town they ended up at Taco Bell for some good ‘ol grub!

see aren’t they adorable!
Mark and Steph,
Thank you so much for letting me kidnap you for the day! Hope to see you again sometime soon!

Hey guys! I know it looks like i’m slacking, but I promise you, it’s been just the opposite! I’ve been slammed with Boudoir sessions. They are so much fun and can’t wait to do some more.
Because of that….I decided not to post those sessions on my current blog because I have many people coming over to show interest in Senior, newborns, family, etc. sessions. Just wouldn’t want any crazy surprises for anyone when they come to my blog. I’m in the process of working on my Boudoir branding/logo/website and hopefully should have something put together soon, and of course live for you to check out.
On that note, If you are interested in scheduling a Boudoir session and/or seeing some samples then let me know!
See you soon!

Spring has sprung! I’m getting so lucky for my sessions, warm weather, gorgeous people. Life is good!
Chad and I met Nathan and Jill a few months ago. Let’s just say we met thru friends. To tie all of the different pieces together of how we all met could take….welll…along time! Annnnnyways. They are such a fun and quirky couple. I knew that when Jill told me they would be up for a session I had to jump on it.
”jump on it, jump on it” Sorry a bit distracted.
We’ve “partied” with them in the past so I knew that this would be anything but boring. I tried to post all of the PG ones, it was hard because they are definitely into each other! Get ready for a lot of pictures!

The man has a very sensitive brain, dontcha know!

Favorite!

favorite, again! Yes, I can have more than 1, it’s my blog!

Every girl needs some red high heels!

and last but not least….

Thank you so much for letting me hang out with you guys! I had a blast and you two are so much fun. I’ll see you soon!!!

You know when you are little and you look at your things and think “one day my children and grand children will enjoy this”?
Ok, well you may not think it when you are 4, or 7, or 10. But, there comes some point in your life that you will think about it. Wellllll….it’s happening to me, not the thinking part, but it’s actually happening! Oliver is playing with my old blocks that my grandmother made, sitting in my rocking chair, the one that I distinctively remember a picture of me in that chair holding our cat, Megan. And now, he is eating lunch at my table and chairs! It’s so crazy!
Sorry about the mouth full….literally!

P.S. If you look closely next to his index finger, you can see where I wrote my name. I remember writing that and thinking “oh shux, i’m going to get into so much trouble for doing this”
I don’t remember if I did or not though.
Maybe when Oliver learns how to write his name I’ll give him a permanent marker to write it on the table. (sorry mom, you may freak out when he does this…trust me, it will be o.k though!)
